macOS Big Sur you see some of the biggest changes in design and Safari in years. The design language copies iOS, keeping some elements of the user interface unique to Mac. Here are some of the next features of macOS Big Sur.
Project
As I said, the design resembles iOS. As Apple says, “Everything from curving the corners of the window to the palette of colors and materials has been refined, and the new features provide even more information and energy.”
Buttons and commands appear when needed, the main menu is translucent, the iOS control center has been added and the notification center has been redesigned.
- Apple at WWDC 2020 confirmed that iOS 14 and macOS 11 will introduce support for a FIDO standard called Web Authentication (WebAuthn) in Safari. This essentially means you’ll be able to use Touch.

Safari
Safari is faster and more private than ever. Apple data indicates that the page load is up to 50% faster, on average, than in Chrome. We will see more tabs on the screen, a customizable homepage, a favicon, identification of open tabs and privacy reports from the site.
WWDC 2020 is over and done. And while I greatly enjoyed Apple’s virtual setup for the week-long series of events, I had even more fun digging deep into the latest beta for iOS 14 to find all the. Apple on Tuesday announced that it will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference virtually.The tech event slated to begin on June 22 will be held online on the Apple Developer app and on the Ap. Apple Maps provides users with better travel planning features, such as a 360-degree view of a location on Look Around, personalized restaurant and park guides and guides organized by companies. You will see cycling options and charging points for electric vehicles.
Development Tools
Developers can offer family sharing for app purchases and subscriptions, and a WebExtensions API makes it easy to add extensions to Safari from other browsers. SwiftUI is used in more places and developers can add custom functions, such as their preferred windows.

There was a ton that was announced in the WWDC keynote presentation on Monday. iOS 14, iPadOS, watchOS 7, macOS Big Sur, a bunch of privacy and Home updates, and even a big upgrade for AirPods. And that doesn’t even include the announced switch to Apple silicon for future Macs! But one of the sections that really caught my attention was the announced improvements to the iPad with Apple Pencil.
Apple seems to be making it much easier to use the Apple Pencil as the default interaction method for your iPad. For the first time in a long time, I’ve found myself considering Apple Notes again as a viable option for my handwritten notes.

iPadOS 14: The Power User Update (Kinda) »
The updates of iPadOS 14 feel like updates done by people who actually use their iPad, for people who use their iPad.
At first, I felt that these updates were especially and obviously for power users.
But the more I think about it, the less sure I am about that. Some updates, such as folders inside of the Shortcuts app, are obviously for power users. But, honestly, most of these updates are just genuinely good and helpful updates the folks who use their iPad a lot — regardless of if they are a nerdy power user or not.
